A diet book should have two pages in it: “Page 1 – Eat right. Page 2 – Exercise. Acknowledgments: My common sense.

Bill Maher (via excitablehonky)

I hate to agree with Bill (I LOVE YOU BILL!), but it’s true.  As a former gymnast, cheerleader, dancer & gymaholic (before my major summer stay in Spain) my body was bangin’ (not to toot my own horn, but it was).  That was the past and this is the present.  I can assure you that in the present it is not bangin’ anymore. [insert sad face here].  I’ve been trying to convince myself to hit the gym but I canceled my membership instead. I try to tell myself to eat healthy, but last Friday I ate a burger (I confess).  The more I let time go by the lazier I get.  I’m not fat but I’m not happy either.  I’m 4’11 and although I could never go back to my high school weight, the reality is that most women obsess over their weight and I like them always want to lose an extra 5 pounds.
