It’s hard to find a boyfriend with a sense of fashion in LA. They are either too metro or don’t have good style judgment. I’m constantly joking about guys who wear those awful dragon shirts and don’t forget the overatted button-down shirts over jeans you find in Hollywood clubs. I don’t mean to be pretentious but I’m so over that, they’re like carbon copies of each other. If you head to the Eastside you’ll find yourself surrounded with the skinny crowd a.k.a the smelly hipsters which is cool and all but I like a guy that showers. Guys in LA don’t tend to be fashion risk-takers, it’s just not that kind of town. To be quite honest, you’ll be lucky to even find a good and honest boyfriend.
Vogue Magazine is no stranger to great clothes but times are tough and people can’t just drop hundreds of dollars on a cotton shirt. So it’s time for men to get creative and get out of monochromatic colors. Stores like H&M, Zara, American Apparel, U.O., independent stores and local thrift stores can add some spice to your wardrobe, but be cautious, you don’t want to look like the window display.
